AWTEC2024

  • EMEC, a project partner, delivered a presentation titled “The Role of Test Centres in Innovation and Industry Development,” which included the WEDUSEA project.

  • The University of Plymouth, presented a paper on the WEDUSEA  mooring system “Advancements in Mooring Systems for the OE35 Wave Energy Converter: Dynamic Design and Validation”

IEC 1906 Award

The 1906 Award was granted to Dr James Kelly in recognition of exceptional recent individual achievements – with applying various TC-114 standards on projects including WEDUSEA – which helped advance IEC activities in a significant way. Link to blog post

A meeting on International Electrochemical Commission (IEC) standards was attended by WEDUSEA project partners Exceedence this month in Edinburgh. Ray Alcorn, CEO of Exceedence Ltd and the Irish chair of TC 114, the work programme governing marine energy, presented the technical specifications that are been applied for the WEDUSEA project.
