Ocean Energy presenting at EWTEC
  • This month, James Kelly of Ocean Energy presented on the development of control strategies for novel systems of a full scale OWC for the WEDUSEA project at the 15th European Wave and Tidal Energy Conference (EWTEC) in Bilbao.
  • Dr Michael O’Shea from University College Cork also presented a paper on structural analysis for the WEDUSEA project at EWTEC.
  • WEDUSEA has also carried out a further round of tank testing of the Ocean Energy wave energy device at Lir, Ireland’s flagship National Ocean Test facility. Located in the University College Cork Environmental Research Institute, the Lir National Ocean Test Facility provides world-class laboratory testing for offshore wind, wave and tidal energy devices.
